Due to be released in theaters in February, Through The Eyes Of The World is a documentary that will take you somewhere you thought you’d never get to be – behind the scenes at Celine Dion’s latest tour, Taking Chances.
Allowing you to see Celine not only backstage, but also spending time out with her family, this is a chance to see who the real Celine Dion is, with the bestselling artist allowing unprecedented access which provides a much more intimate feel than most music documentaries.
Currently planned to be a limited showing of only eight shows in February, the film will take you through five continents and 25 countries, with her husband, her 8-year-old son, her mother, and her extended family all making appearances. Combining concert performances with behind the scenes footage and Celine enjoying down time, Dion displays all of those funny, honest and inspirational traits that have made her the much loved artist she is, with her perception of the film being that “This was an amazing world tour, but there’s a lot more than just concert footage on this film. I let the cameras follow me everywhere. There are a lot of ups and downs, and it’s very personal…and it’s definitely the most intimate journey that I’ve ever shared with my fans.”
Stephane Laporte, the director of the film was also highly impressed by Celine saying “After touring the world with Celine, I can say confidently that there is no performer anywhere like her. She is a consummate entertainer – not only was she committed to giving the fans who came to the shows the best performances she could, but she was just as committed to this film, to make it entertaining and give some insight into what it’s like to be on the road for a year with one’s family.
