Johnny Weir: I’m Gay Rest of Us: We Know

US figure skating champion has confirmed what we have all known since the beginning of Weir time. That he’s gay.

Saying that he’s never been ashamed of it but has avoided coming out till now to avoid being labelled (or maybe because he has a book coming out), Weir said:

“I’m not ashamed to be me. More than anyone else I know, I love my life and accept myself,”

Adding that he’d always had the support of his parents, Weir said that he hoped that his official coming out would help give others the courage to do the same.
