Babette Josephs: Bisexual Gregg Kravitz Is Straight (And Lying To Get LBGT Vote)

Smear campaigns these days always seem to have a sexual angle to them, and in American politics more often than not that’s based around outing your opponent as gay.  However Babette Josephs has decided to do things a little different this time with her smear campaign against Gregg Kravitz. She’s outing him as NOT being gay.

Yes you read that right. Josephs says it’s all an act to get that LGBT vote and she’s not willing to let that happen, going as far as to state at a fundraiser:

“I outed him as a straight person., and now he goes around telling people, quote, ‘I swing both ways.’ That’s quite a respectful way to talk about sexuality. This guy’s a gem.”

In responding to Josephs’ comments Kravitz said they were not only offensive, but were also likely to have a negative impact on the LGBT community stating:

“That kind of taunting is going to make it more difficult for closeted members of the LGBT community to be comfortable with themselves,”

“It’s damaging.”

He also said that he did not believe that he had ever discussed his sexuality with Josephs, who has accused him of telling her he was gay, or used the term he “swings both ways” and that he was not using his sexual orientation to win the Pennsylvania State House race, and that:

“I bring it up only in the context that it’s important for the LGBT community to have a seat at the legislative table.”

Mark Segal, publisher of the Philadelphia Gay News and a pioneering civil rights advocate, who is supporting Kravitz said he did not believe Josephs comments would have a negative impact, instead saying it acts to show progress that sexuality was even been discussed as part of an election campaign.
