And The News Headlines Are…. BBC Newsreader Jane Hill Is Gay

Some people just get your gaydar sensors going on full alert, and here at Queeried we have to say that BBC newsreader Jane Hill has been setting off alarms for a while now. And it seems it’s been with good reason because Hill has just come out publicly in article in the BBC’s in house magazine Ariel.

Best known for her presenting on the BBC News channel, Jane Hill is also often found reading the main news bulletins on the leading BBC channels and is probably best known for her intense reporting of the disappearence of Madeline McCann. And when she’s not doing that, it seems Jane isn’t off playing happy heterosexual families, she is instead at home with her partner Sara, a TV camerawoman, and their dog Mavis in super trendy North London.

For many people this news is likely to come as something of a surprise, however it doesn’t seem Jane has been too bothered about keeping her lesbianism under wraps with a BBC colleague saying “Everyone has known for years that Jane is gay. She hasn’t made a secret of it at the BBC and although she has had other girlfriends over the years, this one seems to be THE one.”

We could make a rude comment about the fact she once went out with Strictly Come Dancing winner Chris Hollins but we’re going to be good..
